ForeScout Joins Q1 Labs' Security Intelligence Partner Program

ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a provider of automated security control solutions for Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organizations, recently announced that it is the newest partner of the Security Intelligence Partner Program (SIPP) by Q1 Labs, an IBM (News - Alert) company and global provider of security intelligence solutions.

Increasingly, security threats are originating from unmanaged devices such as smartphones and tablets, a problem solved by integrating ForeScout CounterACT Network Access Control (NAC) with the IBM QRadar Security Intelligence Platform.

According to the terms of the agreement, QRadar captures, retains and analyses events generated from ForeScout CounterACT. The integration allows provides improved real-time visibility, security intelligence and automated control to customers while they deliver real-time monitoring and enterprise risk assessment of non-compliant managed and unmanaged network devices.

ForeScout CounterACT is an automated security control platform that measures compliance with your security policies and remediates endpoint security deficiencies. Unlike agent-based security systems, ForeScout CounterACT operates in real-time, has no blind spots and does not require cooperation from the endpoint. The solution allows customers to create security policies that are right for their enterprise. Pre-built policy templates and wizards speed creation of the policies and a built-in knowledgebase of common security configurations make it easy.

The QRadar family delivers an intelligent, integrated and automated security solution that provides complete, 360° security intelligence across the entire network, no matter how large or small. QRadar's flexible architecture allows organizations to scale their security intelligence infrastructure with seamlessly integrated appliances accessible through a single user interface, called "One Console Security." This highly integrated, architecturally elegant approach improves operational efficiencies and helps network security teams better protect their organization's IT assets from a growing landscape of Cyber-war and Cyber-crime driven threats.

"Any unmanaged, unknown or insecure devices, including personal mobile devices, on a corporate network present serious security risks and potential operational impact to IT," said Avi Zelovich, director of product management for ForeScout. "Our alliance with IBM Security helps to alleviate this challenge by giving enterprises visibility into every single device on their network, which greatly improves their overall security posture and GRC compliance."

"By integrating ForeScout CounterACT with IBM's QRadar, customers can better see and manage access and endpoint compliance policies and controls for all users and devices, whether using managed or unmanaged BYOD personal mobile devices, as well as take directed action on eminent threats and known violations," said Matt Ward, senior product manager, IBM.
