Wombat Security to Forearm Businesses with New Compliance Training Series

The current year has seen a dramatic shift in the cyber threat environment with almost every day heralding another new victim of cyber attacks. With the modus operandi of attackers changing and cybercrime on the rise, all sectors of industry are being targeted.

Even so, according to Joe Ferrara, president and CEO at Wombat Security Technologies, many companies lack the expertise and resources to effectively train their people against these growing cyber threats.

To help them combat these threats, the provider of cyber security awareness and training solutions, has unveiled its newest compliance training series that reportedly helps tackle pressing cyber security issues, simplifying compliance monitoring and reporting for PCI (News - Alert) managers.

Given that the recent PCI council meeting has reported security breaches to be at an all time high since the organization was founded, Wombat Security underscores the importance of enhancing their data security and compliance protocols.

Noting that companies that employ new interactive cyber security assessment and context aware security training software are reporting fewer breaches and lower remediation costs, Wombat Security advocates the use of its uniquely effective, fully automated, highly scalable software-based training solutions, built on learning science principles.

According to the company, the compliance training series will go a long way in emphasizing employee responsibility toward securing sensitive information, while addressing mandatory requirements of common privacy laws, data protection mandates and PCI data security standard for all employees who handle cardholder data.

Further, the training series will also help assess employee performance and improvement in terms of peoples' behaviors and awareness, generate reports that demonstrate compliance with security awareness training requirements and prove the completion of training in the event of a PCI audit.

“The key is not just ‘awareness;’ it is behavior change; as such, interactive security awareness training platforms help compliance managers effectively administer mandated employee education, prove the completion of training in the event of an audit, and actually change the way that employees behave. The result is lower risk for the organization” noted Andrew Walls, vice president of security, risk and privacy at Gartner (News - Alert).
