Gartner Recognizes Accenture's IT Services for CSPs Globally

Gartner, Inc. recently positioned Accenture (News - Alert) in the magic quadrant for 2012. Accenture has been named one of the best providers of IT services for communications service providers across the globe.

The IT services offered by Accenture comprise telecom operations management systems like business support systems, operations support systems and service delivery platforms.

Gartner’s (News - Alert) report, “Magic Quadrant for IT Services for Communications Service Providers,” released on September 27, 2012, has been authored by Jouni Forsman, Kamlesh Bhatia and Norbert J. Scholz. As part of the analysis, Gartner evaluated 14 major vendors, who offered specialized IT services for telecom operations management systems, on the basis of comprehensiveness of vision and ability to perform.

In a statement, Monte Hong, MD of Communications Industry Group at Accenture said, “CSPs must develop and deliver new revenue drivers, so they need to consider building new types of support systems to deliver the innovative, data-intensive services that their customers are demanding – including mobility, machine-to-machine, cloud networking, apps, and Internet and over-the-top TV. We are working with CSPs to design and build these next-generation support systems.”

Accenture offers converged billing system, which assist CSPs in incorporating all service charges in a solitary client invoice, resulting in a combined view of the client.
