DigitalZone Selects TranSwitch's HDplay TXC-44144 HDMI/DisplayPort

TranSwitch (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of semiconductor solutions, recently announced that DigitalZone, a manufacturer of peripheral devices, has selected the company’s HDplay TXC-44144 HDMI/DisplayPort transceiver, which will be used for an HDMI solution.

TranSwitch’s TXC-44144 1x HDPTM v1.4a Rx & 3x HDMI v1.4a Rx – with 1x HEAC and 1x HDMI v1.4a Tx –can be used for LCD/PDP TV, Monitor, AV converter/Switching boxes and other varieties of digital video and audio applications. The TXC-44144 HDMI v1.4a at 3.0Gbps receiver has four independent input ports and is compliant with HDMI v1.4a & CTS (News - Alert) v1.4a, DVI v1.0, HDCP v1.4 standards.

One of the input ports supports HDP (HDMI & DisplayPort Dual Mode) Rx and HDMI Ethernet Audio Return Channel (HEAC). The device’s Phastswitch can provide faster port switching capability, and AnyCable with accelerated adaptive equalization greatly enhancing the long and cheap cable performance.

"Working with TranSwitch and leveraging the Company's innovative HDplay transceivers with AnyCable technology, we have been able to deliver a HDMI solution that not only provides greater flexibility in cable selection, but ensures outstanding video and audio quality for an unmatched display experience."

The TXC-44144 integrates 1 port HDMI 1.4a transmitter at 3.0Gbps. The device’s HDMI Tx includes SI Upswing for amplitude, slope and pre-emphasis controls.

The TXC-44144 also supports SmartCEC using specialized MCU to facilitate embedded CEC control for easy system implementations.
