EMC Incorporates IGC Brava with EPFM OnDemand

Informative Graphics Corporation and EMC (News - Alert) recently announced that they have entered into a strategic partnership. As part of the association, IGC’s Brava! Enterprise viewer has been incorporated with the EMC Documentum Engineering, Plant and Facilities Management or EPFM OnDemand offering.

Energy operators, engineering and construction, and engineering project teams are able to administer projects and asset lifecycle right from the design phase to construction and operation phase with the assistance of EPFM. Users can now view and work together on CAD drawings and other engineering content with Brava, thereby allowing them to measure, plot and print accurate vector information. With the incorporation of Brave with EPFM, users will now be able to streamline project planning, assembly and operation. Customers will also be able to use the most recent software releases for managing complex applications in a simplified manner via EMC's latest hybrid cloud deployment model, EPFM OnDemand.

In a statement, John O'Melia, VP, Worldwide Services, Information Intelligence Group division, EMC Corporation (News - Alert) said, "EPFM helps customers around the world transform their business, with a purpose-built solution for managing complex projects. Our integration with Brava for universal viewing extends our commitment to helping customers use the best tools for their requirements."

Users will be provided cumulative area and length measurements on CAD drawings by the incorporated offering of Brava 7.0 and EMC Documentum EPFM. Users will be able to produce and save unique categories for all measurements or quantity types. The incorporated offering will ensure the snapping of the measurements into geometry. Layers can be turned on or off, ensuring spotless views. The scales and units can also be set and adjusted. Users can copy category totals to the clipboard or import them to Excel. Drawings can also be published in PDF, TIFF or secure CSF formats.

Gary Health, president and CEO, IGC said, "We've partnered with EMC Documentum for over a decade, and we share their commitment to providing customers accessible, versatile and secure content management solutions. We're thrilled to be part of their continued innovation."
