SaaS Markets' App Store for Richmond Small Businesses

SaaS (News - Alert) Markets, in association with the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, has unveiled a Small Business App Store. The store will help small business owners in the Greater Richmond, Virginia area to choose apt Software-as-a-Service applications in a simplified manner.

The App Store will consist of a minimum of 1,300 SaaS applications, allowing small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB) to browse, evaluate and purchase applications in a secure, Web-based marketplace.

"While technology is supposed to make it easier for entrepreneurs to build their businesses, buying, installing and managing software can become an all-consuming drain,” said Ferdi Roberts, founder and CEO at SaaS Markets. “The Chamber Small Business App Store will allow business owners to easily find the tools they need, pay only for what they use, and devote their time and capital to serving customers and focusing on fulfilling their vision for their businesses, rather than battling technology."

The formal unveiling of the Chamber Small Business App Store has been scheduled for September 27, 2012. Industrialists and members of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce are bound to flourish by using technology tools offered by the App Store.

Business owners can directly use the SaaS applications from the App Store, eliminating initial expenses. These individuals can also eliminate the intricacies and risks of buying, implementing and supervising software on their own servers.

"The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce is leading the innovation charge nationally by providing its members with the first full-featured App Store for the U.S. Chamber marketplace,” said Chrystal Neal, director, Creativity and Innovation, Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to working with this progressive team at SaaS Markets as we enable [SMBs] throughout the region to reap the benefits from the latest innovations in business software at a cost they can afford."

The Greater Richmond Chamber has been implementing initiatives for improving the prospects of businesses in the Richmond Region. The not-for-profit organization currently consists of 1,200 members.
