Mercury and Voltage Security Collaborate Over Development of New Data Encryption Solution

Voltage Security (News - Alert) recently announced that it will be collaborating with Mercury to drive the company's data-centric security strategy. Mercury, which is a leading provider of payment processing and revenue generation solutions, will integrate its payment processing solutions with Voltage SecureData. The integration will also allow Mercury to expand its data encryption solution and ensure greater PCI (News - Alert) compliance among its partners and merchants.

Voltage Security is one of the premier providers of data-centric encryption and key management solutions for addressing new and emerging security risks. The Voltage solution allows merchants to encrypt all sensitive payment information at the point of capture and then securely transmit the fully encrypted information to the requisite processing hosts. By rendering sensitive data useless in case security is compromised, the Voltage solution ensures a substantial and effective reduction in breach of data. By adopting a data-centric security approach, Voltage Security will help drive greater PCI-DSS compliance among Mercury's partners and reduce the need for extensive processes currently used in validating and securing payment data.

In a statement, Matt Pauker, co-founder of Voltage Security, said that, "We're pleased to work with Mercury in implementing Voltage SecureData in an environment where their POS channel partners can reap the benefits of a truly data-centric security system without needing to change their existing processes. We look forward to a long relationship with Mercury and helping secure payments processes for millions of customers nationwide."

The Voltage SecureData Payments offering combines technology advantages with a variety of other essential business benefits. Currently available encryption solutions have been designed to work with particular devices only. Voltage SecureData Payments on the other hand is platform-agnostic which means it can work with almost all mobile or POS devices. Additionally, it incorporates an environment-neutral framework and can function in hardware, software, and eCommerce environments.

By delivering complete flexibility, Voltage SecureData makes it easy for merchants to simply match payment services with their particular business requirements. Other advantages of Voltage SecureData include - easy to implement, minimal disruption of operating processes, reduction in maintenance costs and scalability capability to address evolving business needs.
