Teradici has introduced its PCoIP Optimized software client on the HP t410 Smart Zero Client.
The company has partnered with HP to launch the PCoIP Optimized client for the HP t410, said Trent Punnett, vice president of marketing at Teradici.
HP t410 is HP’s lowest-power all-in-one smart zero client, delivering PC-like performance using a single wire for power and network connectivity. The all-in-one design creates a client virtualization environment with a streamlined all-in-one solution that combines thin client security and management for impressive PC-like performance.
Taking advantage of a PCoIP Optimized client, the HP’s t410 Smart Zero Client delivers the best possible PCoIP performance on Texas Instruments (News - Alert) DM8148 processor, company officials said.
Collaborating closely, Teradici and HP engineers have developed a “unique solution” that leverages both the ARM (News - Alert) and DSP cores of the DM8148 SoC used in the t410. Company officials said that the t410 is available both as an integrated PoE monitor all-in-one unit drawing only 13W of power and also as a standard desktop unit.
Working with Teradici on the PCoIP Optimized client for the HP t410 has enabled the company to combine HP’s innovative ARM-based hardware with fantastic PCoIP performance and features to deliver a desktop client suitable for a broad range of use cases, said Jeff Groudan, director for thin clients at HP.
Groudan said that the HP t410’s unique low-power display and PoE technology running Teradici’s PCoIP Optimized client is a great addition to their growing portfolio of comprehensive PCoIP solutions that address the needs of a growing and increasingly diverse community of VDI users.
Additionally, PCoIP Optimized software clients complement Teradici’s existing ecosystem of PCoIP solutions such as PCoIP zero clients, Teradici APEX 2800 server offload cards, remote workstation hosts, VMware View and Teradici RDSH for Microsoft (News - Alert) RDS environments.
Recently, Teradici announced the addition of two new form factors to APEX portfolio -- the APEX 2800 LP, a low profile PCIe x4 card with smaller footprint for compatibility with more rack servers; and the APEX 2800 MXM, the first Mobile PCIe Module (MXM) card in the portfolio for HP ProLiant Generation 8 (Gen8) Blade servers.
