Brenda Boehm Joins Tango Networks as President, CEO

Tango Networks (News - Alert) recently announced the addition of new members to its management team. Aside from the hiring of a new American sales leader and supporting sales team members, the company has appointed Brenda Boehm as president and chief executive officer.

Tango believes these new team members are welcomed additions during a time of significant growth for the company.

“Tango Networks has gained traction with numerous Tier 1 mobile carriers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, which has made it critical for us to build a management team and sales organization to support the expansion of the company,” Andrew Silver, cofounder and chief technology officer of Tango Networks, said in a recent statement. “The board has been impressed with Brenda’s industry experience and drive, and is excited to have her lead the company’s business strategy and collective vision for continuing to foster and develop unique value-add solutions.”

Boehm brings more than 20 years of experience in both wireless and wireline communications to Tango. Previously, she directed Cisco (News - Alert) Systems’ Hosted Cloud Solutions product management organization. Before that, Boehm was the vice president of Business Solutions for Starent Networks, a mobile telecommunications company that was acquired by Cisco only two years after going public in 2007.

Boehm's resume also includes time spent at Nortel Networks, Citizens Communications (News - Alert), MCI and many more communications service providers.

Boehm is an alumnus of the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the Southern Methodist University school of Engineering. She carries a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Tango Networks was recently named a finalist for the Fast Tech award at the Fast Tech Reveal. Fast Tech honors the fastest growing technology companies in North Texas based on three-year revenue growth.
