Adaptive Computing Enters into Strategic Partnership with IQT to Develop Cloud Computing Operating System with Moab

Adaptive Computing, the provider of High-Performance Computing (HPC) workload management software reportedly signed a technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel (News - Alert) (IQT), the not-for-profit, strategic investment firm focused on delivering innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will work toward creating a cloud operating system by integrating Moab Cloud Suite and an open source private cloud platform. This integrated solution will give US Intelligent Community, an enhanced and secure access to private clouds.

Moab is a self-optimizing dynamic private cloud management solution. Based on its  policy-based decision engine, the solution helps deliver policy-based governance, allowing customers to consolidate and virtualize resources, allocate and manage applications, optimize service levels and reduce operational costs. Combining these capabilities with open source enables organizations to save time and money.

“The Moab integration with open source will lead to increased flexibility and cost savings for IQT's customers in the Intelligence Community. We are honored to be a part of this strategic partnership and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” CEO of Adaptive Computing, Rob Clyde commented in a statement.

We are pleased this strategic partnership will help increase our customers' access to this important technology,” SVP  in charge of the Information and Communication Technologies practice at IQT, Robert Ames (News - Alert) explained in a statement.

Last month Looxcie, Inc. (News - Alert), makers of "wear and share" video cam signed a Strategic Partnership and Technology Development Agreement with IQT to enable the design and development of next generation videocams utilizing Looxcie's intellectual property. The technology is being developed for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T (News - Alert)), an IQT customer agency.
