Today's fast pace environments require higher levels of efficiency to remain competitive. Automation can greatly improve the efficiency for IT organizations, and accelerate repeatable IT tasks to reduce errors often introduced by manual processes.
The company extended its automation capabilities with the launch of its new Load Balancer Manager, a software module for Infoblox's automated network control platform.
Infoblox’s new Load Balancer Manager is said to reduce administrative tasks, saving IT departments’ significant time and costs. Infoblox Load Balancer Manager also delivers unique management for environments under F5 Networks (News - Alert), the global enabler of Application Delivery Networking and global traffic management.
Back in March 2010, F5 and Infoblox teamed up to provide customers with a complete DNS solution. F5 is leading the charge with its F5 BIG-IP GTM appliances.
The Infoblox Load Balancer Manager, an extension of Infoblox's automation capabilities, unique Infoblox Grid technology and intuitive user interface, enables management of F5 BIG-IP GTM appliances, including: Automated discovery of BIG-IP GTM configurations; "Single pane of glass" visibility into the BIG-IP GTM infrastructure; Delegated BIG-IP GTM infrastructure administration based on permissions; Configuration and synchronization across multiple BIG-IP GTM systems; Automated DNS system changes in conjunction with BIG-IP GTMs.
"The new Infoblox Load Balancer Manager helps reduce repetitive tasks that IT administrators have to frequently perform to access and manage their critical network infrastructures through discreet management consoles," said David Gee, executive vice president of Marketing at Infoblox.
"Extending Infoblox's automation and management capabilities to harness the powerful F5 global traffic management infrastructure underscores Infoblox's commitment to continue helping enterprise IT departments transform and scale their complex networks," Gee added.
"Infoblox has proven management capabilities that are a natural fit with F5's global traffic management systems. The combination of our solutions can deliver enterprise customers administrative and dramatic cost-savings advantages," said Calvin Rowland, vice president Technology and ISV Alliances at F5 Networks.
The Infoblox Load Balancer Manager module will be available August 1, 2012 through authorized Infoblox channel partners. Infoblox customers with an existing Infoblox installation can buy the module for $7,995 in the United States.
