DataDirect Networks (DDN) announced that its newly released DirectMon is a robust centralized management solution for its storage, file system and In-Storage processing technology.
The company explained that DirectMon is purpose-built to improve the performance of IT operations, top-down support is provided for managing multiple DDN SFA Storage Arrays, as well as gRIDScaler and eXAScaler file system solutions. The solution has all the necessary features to bring down administrator overhead and is capable of charting a framework that can be used for real-time and predictive systems management and also for regulating SAN, NAS and parallel file storage environments.
“DDN's DirectMon takes the complexity out of managing even the world's largest Big Data environments, and enables our customers to deploy simple infrastructure capable of scaling up for deep storage capacity and scaling out for added storage capacity and performance. DirectMon increases our customers' agility as they continue to resolve critical growth and challenges in the Big Data era”, remarked Jean Luc Chatelain, executive vice president of Strategy and Technology at DDN, in a press release.
Companies that possess IT environments of any size can deploy DirectMon to simplify the configuration and management of their storage infrastructure even as data continues to grow exponentially. The ease-of-use features and notifications built into DirectMon enables companies to rapidly sort out issues affecting performance and free up time and resources that can be diverted to more important tasks.
Some of the notable features of DirectMon are: the ability to let users discover, configure, duplicate, manage and optimize complete systems to save time and money; build roles with appropriate levels of authorizations for an organization’s hierarchy; draw customizable graphs of current and historical trends to understand bottlenecks and optimize operations; and more.
Recently, the University of South Florida deployed DataDirect Networks’ Storage Technology and DDN was to present at Barclays Big Data conference.
