Tigerspike Announces Quantum Resistant Encryption

There are two major problems troubling today's encryption standards. For one, communication and information devices have been getting smaller and smaller. These come with limited battery life, and have subsequent restrictions on the strength of current encryption methods or prevent them being used.

The second is the quick development of so-called "quantum computers" that decrease the level of security and protection the current AES and RSA (News - Alert) standard encryption methodologies offer.

Trying to tackle these problems, Tigerspike's has announced its new quantum resistant mobile encryption technology, Karacell, patent pending in 144 countries around the world. The company claims this new technology will bring mobile security to a new level and transform how companies and individuals keep their data safe on personal technology devices.

Karacell ensures that data is secure on any iPad or on phone. It is also created for parallel processing, use more frequently in all the communication devices. This means Karacell can grow with advancements in technology, and get truly future-proofed both in terms of speed and strength, the company stated in a news release.

“Phoenix (Tigerspike's enterprise-class content delivery platform) is already being used by Fortune 500 companies across the world, and with Karacell, security will be a key point of difference for Phoenix over other enterprise mobile platforms that use current industry standard encryption,” said Luke Janssen, CEO for Tigerspike Group. “This and other technologies we are working on will give companies extra confidence that they can use Phoenix to transform their businesses for many years into the future."

Many other companies have been delivering some innovative products in the field of mobile security. BullGuard, a provider of user-friendly internet and mobile security solutions for consumers, recently introduced dedicated mobile phone backup software, specifically created to solve challenges with data backup and restore on smartphones and tablets.
