Forum Systems Works with RSA SecurID

RSA (News - Alert) SecurID Software Authenticators make strong authentication an easy part of doing business by installing software tokens on mobile devices, smartphones, tablets, and PCs. They change them into intelligent security tokens. SecurID Software Authenticators make use of the same time-based algorithm used in RSA SecurID Hardware Authenticators.

Looking to establish interoperability between Forum Sentry and RSA SecurID from RSA, The Security Division of EMC (News - Alert), Forum Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Crosscheck Networks, Inc. recently joined the Secured by RSA Certified Partner Program.

This certification indicates that a technical partnership has been established to provide a deeper two-factor authentication and end-to-end security solution for today's complicated, worldwide and distributed enterprises. Forum Systems' flagship Forum Sentry XML Gateway (News - Alert) enhances secure B2B and B2C exchange for hundreds of companies in market sectors, processing more than one billion transactions per day worldwide.

Forum Sentry assists global enterprises to make use of legacy investments, and provides a seamless migration path to cloud computing, and is the industry standard for security and SOA Governance for XML, SOAP and REST services, the company stated in a press release.

David Low, director, Strategic Technology Alliances, for RSA, said, "Organizations are looking for ways to share data and exchange critical information between and among different entities. Forum Sentry's solutions provide that critical capability, and by adding RSA SecurID two-factor integration, organizations can have a high degree of assurance that individuals accessing these systems are legitimate users.”

Recently, the company was named as a Leader in The Forrester (News - Alert) Wave: SOA Application Gateways, Q4 2011. According to the report, "To evaluate the condition of the SOA application gateway market and see how players in this field stack up against each other, Forrester evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of top SOA application gateway vendors." The company evaluated vendors against 45 criteria, which it grouped into three high-level buckets: current offering, strategy and market presence.
