Bryant & Stratton College Includes Mobile App Development in its IT Degree Courses

Bryant & Stratton College Online recently announced new additions to their Information Technology degree program portfolio. These additions will come into effect for the fall and for the new scholarship season. At present, the college is enrolling students within its Information Technology degree program, which will include Mobile Applications Development degree; an Associate in Office Information Technology degree; and an Associate in Hospitality Management - Restaurant & Hotel Services degree course.

The college introduced these changes in their degree programs to address increasing needs within the mobile application development market and to ensure that students are prepared to take up careers marked with changing responsibilities constantly.  

In a release, Scott Traylor, associate campus director for Online Education at Bryant & Stratton College, said, "We are excited about this set of changes to our degree programs. At Bryant & Stratton College Online we are dedicated to making sure our degree programs reflect the needs of the marketplace. By addressing these changes we help ensure our students are learning the critical skills they need to be competitive in the job market after graduation.”

New additions include Information Technology courses that focus on Mobile Applications Development Associate of Occupational Studies degree, which has been designed as an online IT degree that will teach students to write programs for mobile applications.  Students in the course will be eligible for entry-level positions within software development companies and various business environments and organizations focussing on corporate training development.

The Office Information Technology Associate of Applied Science degree program will be offered in place of the Administrative Assistant degree initially offered by the college. The new degree program will prepare students to meet technology-based responsibilities that administrative assistants need to handle.

The college has also included a Technology Careers Scholarship for students enrolled in its technology-based online degree programs which include Interactive Media Design, Networking Technology, Security Technology, and Office Information Technology degree. The scholarship will include a $500 grant for part-time students and $1,000 for full-time students covering one semester courses.

Bryant & Stratton College Online has also introduced a Hospitality Management - Restaurant & Hotel Services Associate of Applied Science degree to help students prepare for careers in the hotel, food and beverage industry, travel and tourism sector as well as entertainment and sport venues.
