EFI Debuts PrintMe Mobile 2.2

Today, more and more company employees work outside of an eight-hour day or a corporate office. Mobile devices provide workers all over the world with the ability to change where, when and how they work. They let these employees access and communicate business information when and where they need to. They can speed business decisions and transactions and communicate and collaborate more efficiently with these devices.

Offering these facilities to IT departments, ERI has introduced PrintMe Mobile 2.2 software, which allows major job accounting applications to track printing from smartphones and tablets.

PrintMe Mobile is an enterprise mobile print solution, which offers mobile printing from any mobile device to any network printer. The users do not have to leave the original application to do this, the company stated in a press release.

Whether at their desk, in a conference room, around campus or at another company location, this driverless print solution gives employees the flexibility to conduct business and print any time. PrintMe Mobile provides enterprises with an advanced, inexpensive, scalable and secure on-premises printing solution that is easy to deploy, support and manage.

“For IT departments that want complete mobile printing coverage with the best control, EFI PrintMe Mobile is the industry's only product that provides flexibility, simplicity and security," said John Henze, vice president of Fiery marketing for EFI. "PrintMe Mobile integrates seamlessly into a company's network and security infrastructure to mitigate the IT costs and security risks of supporting mobile printing for all enterprise users. IT departments can increase productivity while reducing help desk costs.”

Recently, the company unveiled VUTEk QS2 Pro UV hybrid printer for display producers, photo labs and sign makers. The VUTEk QS2 Pro comes equipped with the Fiery XF proServer. It also contains an enhanced set of Fiery RIP options, a high-performance hardware platform, JDF integration to EFI Web-to-Print and MIS/ERP solutions, and a complimentary 13-month support and maintenance plan, the company stated.
