ADCOLE Upgrades its Model 1100 All Purpose Crankshaft/Camshaft Gage

ADCOLE Corporation provides various types of crankshaft and camshaft gauges that are highly accurate, versatile and economical for a variety of products. Recently, the company upgraded its Model 1100 all purpose crankshaft/camshaft gage which offers submicron accuracy with fast unattended cycle times for the manufacture and quality control of critical rotating components.

The Adcole Model 1100 Gage measures main and rod journals with +/-0.5 micron radial accuracy, 0.5 micron linear scan accuracy, +/-0.001 degree angular accuracy, +/-5 micron axial accuracy, and 10 percent of tolerance repeatability. It is ideally suited to assist engine manufacturers maintain the close tolerances needed for optimum fuel economy and engine life. It has dual PC CPUs linked via DCOM, Windows 7-based software and a 19" color touchscreen monitor, the company stated in a press release.

For measuring 3,600 data points per revolution of cylindrical parts with submicron accuracy, the Adcole Model 1100 Gage is a complete system that makes use of dual-linear gratings. Measured parameters for crankshafts include diameter, roundness, cylindricity, straightness, parallelism, taper, radial runout, concentricity, axial runout, index angle, throw, true position, lobing, center deviation, lengths and widths, which are  easy to load/unload and operate.

In 2009, the company announced new software package for its Model 1200 Crankshaft-Camshaft Gage that reportedly offers considerable measurement. The company announced that post-processing improvements is being introduced by ADCOLE Corporation of Marlborough, MA, U.S.To allow a customer’s entire supply chain to have the same measurement and processing capabilities, ADCOLE’s Model 1200 Crankshaft-Camshaft Gage Software Upgrade Package can be retrofit to all existing Windows gages in the field.
