FONU2 Developing Social Commerce Facebook Platform

FONU2 announced that it is developing an application on Facebook (News - Alert). FONU2 is a social media platform and developer of mobile applications that brings sellers and buyers of services and products together in real -time.

In a release, Christian Walker, chief technology officer of FONU2 Inc., said, “Over 425 million users access Facebook from a mobile device every month. The FONU2 Facebook Platform enables seamless social commerce experiences across a large variety of devices. Building the precision application on Facebook gives FONU2 the added reach to Facebook users and their friends on Facebook, bringing them to the FONU2 mobile app. The application creates a more engaging and personalized experience for FONU2.”

FONU2 has a preferred developer relationship with Facebook and its new application is expected to feature compatibility with several aspects of Facebook. This includes news feed, localization and notifications. Also all the core Facebook Platform technologies will be made accessible to the FONU2 Application on mobile and desktop, clarified officials.

The new FONU2.com Facebook application is scalable, and highly compatible. Besides, it synergizes social media management and viral campaigns to attract more people to FONU2.

As a consumer financial services company, FONU2 offers a mobile sale and marketing platform that serves as an order reservations and booking system. Users can use their FONU2 card on their mobile phones and computers. They will be able to list, buy, sell, and also trade services and items in any neighborhood. Sellers and service providers get paid via the FONU2 end-to-end mobile phone payment card system, explained officials.

FONU2 Platform and Services encompasses proprietary, fully-integrated payments system which enables transaction processing, maintenance of account-level data and communication with cardholders. Also it helps in managing risk; ensuring regulatory compliance and connecting with FONU2 issuing banks and FONU2 distributors.

According to officials, these integrated capabilities can be leveraged by FONU2 to customize products and services that suit the needs of different markets, distribution channels and customer segments. Besides, the way FONU2 processes transactions on the FONU2 platform throws light on the attitudes, characteristics and buying behavior of consumers too.

Jeffrey M. Pollitt, president and CEO of FONU2 Inc., remarked, “Our sustainability model converts visitors to members and maintains those members for life. Facebook’s worldwide daily active users reached 526 million in March 2012 and we can expect Facebook to reach one billion monthly active users towards the end of October 2012.
