FieldView Shares IT Power Management Insight at Data Center World

FieldView Solutions recently announced that its VP of Sales and Marketing, John Consoli, will do a presentation entitled "DCIM: Doubt, Confusion, Intrigue and Mystery" at Data Center World. The event will take place on March 20, 2012 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, NV.

FieldView Solutions is a major provider of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and IT power management software.

The presentation will confront the lack of clarity in the DCIM market; share real-world DCIM case studies and compare various data center power and cooling management solutions available today.

"Facilities managers, IT personnel and engineers all have varying DCIM definitions and impressions as to the software's benefits,” said John Consoli, VP of Sales and Marketing for FieldView Solutions. “The Data Center World presentation will give attendees valuable insight into the rapidly evolving DCIM market, as well as how to capitalize on it to benefit their specific data center needs."

The company will also demo its FieldView 5.0 DCIM solution during the event. This solution offers access to structured data by leveraging an Open Database Connection (ODBC), and colocation support that enables application assets to be stored and maintained.

Key benefits include: an Asset Agent designed to assist customers without an asset management application or as an integration point into existing asset solutions; a Business Intelligence service called the Analysis Agent, using Microsoft's (News - Alert) Business Intelligence (BI) toolset for online analytical processing (OLAP), data mining, charting, data presentation and operational/ad hoc reporting; and an Enhanced Polling Agent which allows users to poll more than one location from any single polling agent instance in the server topology as well as select and configure specific devices as "critical."

The solution also features Intel (News - Alert) Data Center Manager (DCM) Integration, which offers a much better granular level of monitoring to enhance the power of FieldView 5.0.

Said director of Data Center Solutions Jeff Klaus: "FieldView 5.0 with Intel's unique ability to deliver real-time power use monitoring at the server-level, addresses the growing problem of power overprovisioning in the data center, giving customers one of the tools they need to operate their data centers at optimal efficiency."
