Highwinds CDN Selected by ZEDO for Performance-Based Load Balancing Solution

ZEDO Inc. recently announced that it has deployed SelectPath, a multi-platform load balancing technology from Highwinds (News - Alert). Highwinds is a global content delivery network (CDN) provider and its SelectPath platform will assist Zedo to optimize content delivery across multiple CDNs and platforms. 

In a release, Joseph Jacob, CTO of ZEDO said, “We chose SelectPath because it is a unique and cutting-edge technology that allows us to load balance multiple CDNs based on performance.  Other vendors that we talked to could do this on geography alone. SelectPath integrated into our ad platforms improves delivery performance and reliability. SelectPath has been integrated into ZEDO's ad platforms and will bring together advanced multi-platform network monitoring and CDN load balancing to push real-time data-driven content delivery decisions. By leveraging the benefits of this innovative platform, will now be able to improve its performance and increases fault tolerance for customers' ads.

Highwinds SelectPath also uses licensed technology from Cedexis, one of the leading multi-cloud performance and automation companies. The SelectPath platform controls the data by automatically adjusting loads and routing content over the CDN that is showing the best delivery behavior. 

In other news from November 2011, GeoEdge Ltd., a global geo-visibility solution provider, announced its partnership agreement with ZEDO Inc. In light of their cooperative venture, ZEDO's customers will now benefit from GeoEdge solutions, enabling clear visibility of their global ad inventory and enforcing compliance.
