M86 Security Announces New Targeted Attacks Service

M86 (News - Alert) Security has unveiled a new solution intended to combat malware both in email and on the Web.

M86 MailMarshal Secure Email Gateway (News - Alert) (SEG) is said to ensure real-time protection against malware threats that come from emails or the Web. The new solution falls in line with the  company's new strategy, which is intended to deliver cloud-based offerings that can protect most devices and ensure content security to its customers.

“M86's core strength in malware prevention and content security has us poised for a move to the cloud that is unprecedented," said John Vigouroux, chief executive officer, M86 Security. "The latest M86 MailMarshal SEG release with the integrated Targeted Attacks Service marks the first step of our execution against our strategy by deploying these technologies to the cloud for use in all of our core security solutions. It's a compelling move that will provide our customers with the highest level of defense.”

M86 Security's new cloud-based Targeted Attacks Service scans email links as they are accessed by users, even in instances where a messages has been forwarded repeatedly.

In July 2010, the company announced that it has renewed its Gold Certified Partner status under the Microsoft (News - Alert) Partner Network.
