Tweet and Track Trends with Brandwatch Plugin for Seesmic

Brandwatch, one the world's leading tools for monitoring and capturing social media, has created a plugin for Seesmic (News - Alert) Desktop, taking brand monitoring and trend analyzing to the next level.

In a press release, Loic Le Meur, Seesmic CEO said, "With the Brandwatch plugin for Seesmic Desktop, social media monitoring and engagement are finally united in a single app. It should be very exciting and useful for brand managers and social media professionals around the world."

Social networks have evolved over time and become the 'windows' through which consumers can be influenced. Seesmic, a social management application, is seeking to exploit this factor and become the social media professional's Twitter 'client of choice' with the new plugin.

Seesmic, officials claim to offer a powerful suite of social media management and collaboration tools with applications on every platform, including mobile devices, and when combined with third-party plugins, it becomes the most comprehensive solution on the market.

Before the advent of the Brandwatch plugin, Seesmic users were limited to single source searches in Twitter or LinkedIn (News - Alert), but now users can monitor brands or topics across the entire web, without having to leave their Seesmic Twitter client.

The information required uses the main Brandwatch system and is then displayed in a column alongside the Twitter of Facebook (News - Alert) feeds. The data are constantly updated with live data from the web.

Giles Palmer, CEO of Brandwatch, elaborated on the new face of 'brand monitoring' and said,

"Interoperability is essential to push the boundaries within tech. Sharing our extensive knowledge on brand monitoring with Seesmic's consumer facing desktop client gives users an accessible tool to keep track of any trend, brand or subject they're interested in. We are very proud to be collaborating with Seesmic as a company at the forefront of social media."

Brandwatch is preparing to extend its offering in the U.S, and intends opening an office in New York in July.

In related news, Seesmic is to integrate Salesforce's internal Twitter-like app, Chatter, into its platform, which makes Seesmic the first real-time social consumer app to go directly into the enterprise space.
