CA Technologies Launches CA Services in the Indian Market

CA Technologies (News - Alert), an IT management software and solutions company with expertise across all IT environments-- from mainframe and distributed, to virtual and cloud-- has launched CA services in the Indian market as a direct practice for Indian customers.

CA Services will offer Indian customers and global systems integrators (GSIs) on site experts in the field to design and deploy CA Technologies said company officials.“CA Services is a specialist organisation in CA Technologies. It is the strength of being solely focused on our own technologies that we are bringing to our Indian customers where, by combining software, support and consulting expertise, we can assist our clients to focus their IT team on business critical tasks instead of details that can be handled by a trusted partner,” said Darren Reid, vice president, services world markets of CA Technologies, in a statement. “CA Technologies is constantly evolving itself to embrace the technology trends of the future like Cloud. Over the past 18 months, we have made several acquisitions in this space including Nimsoft, 3Tera, Oblicore (News - Alert) and Torokina Networks. These require specialized skills to ensure our top enterprise customers have a direct CA ownership to deliver projects successfully,” said Amit Chatterjee, managing director of CA Technologies (India).

“This is where CA Services working with our authorized service partners comes to play a critical role. CA Services is a very special and much required addition to help add value to our clients in India,” said Chatterjee.

Recently CA Technologies announced that Bird Hosting, a cloud service provider and longtime 3Tera customer, has signed a multi-year license agreement with CA Technologies, extending the company’s previous month-to-month arrangement and tripling the number of servers running the software.

Bird Hosting has managed its entire catalog of services, including shared hosting, virtual servers, clustered servers and virtual private data centers (VPDCs) on the CA 3Tera AppLogic platform since early 2009, resulting in increased flexibility and cost savings.
