Offering real-time visibility into network activity and adding efficiency to incident investigations and workflow, NetWitness will become a core element of RSA's Advanced Security Management Solutions.  RSA Data Loss Prevention Suite (DLP) and RSA CyberCrime Intelligence service, security teams can achieve deep insight into the security posture of their organizations by combining the NetWitness network monitoring and analysis technology with RSA's enVision platform.

In October 2010, the company introduced the EMC (News - Alert) Greenplum Data Computing Appliance, which company officials describe as “an integrated data warehouse system using the Greenplum massively parallel processing architecture.” It is designed to let organizations “make sense of the massive amounts of data they generate from various sources, such as always-on networks, the Web, consumers, surveillance systems and sensors.” So you can see the obvious need for just such a tool.
