CoreXchange Strengthens Accounts and Sales Team through Promotion, New Appointments

Dallas based provider of data center and network-layer managed services, CoreXchange recently announced a few changes in the top management level within its accounts and sales departments.

In a press release, CoreXchange announced that Trey Berndt has been promoted to the position of accounts director as a reward for his contributions toward the company’s sales growth. In addition, the company has strengthened its sales team by including two industry veterans–Shawn Armstrong and Troy Phillips.

Prior to joining CoreXchange, Armstrong and Phillips held top executive positions in The Planet (News - Alert) Internet Services. They have over 15 years of experience in the IT and internet services industries. In their new roles, the two sales veterans are expected to utilize their industry experience and expertise to sell colocation and network services.

“We are bringing Shawn and Troy onto the team at a time when CoreXchange is growing and expanding and needs to continue providing the best support possible to our existing customers. Their expertise and experience enables them to hit the ground running providing the same high level of support our customers expect,” CoreXchange Executive Vice President of Sales, Julia Morgan said in the press release.

In the span of his career, Armstrong acquired expertise in the fields of managed hosting, colocation, Internet and professional services. He formerly held executive positions at Alpheus, VeriCenter, Savvis, Global Crossing (News - Alert), and Logix Communications and proved to an efficient sales professional with consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas in his roles.

Phillips served companies like NaviSite, Wire One Communications (News - Alert), Qwest Communications, Level3, Genuity/GTE Internetworking and Target Vision and demonstrated exception sales abilities and product knowledge in technology by helping the former employers significantly increase their market share.

In the press release, Morgan also acknowledged Berndt’s contributions toward growing the company’s customer base through the demonstration of excellent product knowledge and providing of outstanding customer support. “Trey’s performance at CoreXchange directly contributed to his advancement – he has consistently increased revenue by bringing the company new customers and has expanded the services provided to existing clients,” Morgan stated.

Earlier this year, CoreXchange announced an addition to its sales team. In January, the company appointed Shane Tunnell, who held technical sales and account management positions with The Planet, H5 Colo, Ronald Walker Associates, Sprint E Solutions, VeriCenter and Sprint Paranet (News - Alert) to its growing team of sales professionals.
