Syntellect Debuts CT Application Development Environment Version 11

Syntellect, a dealer in customer interaction management solutions, unveiled the version 11 of its CT Application Development Environment (CT ADE (News - Alert)) that offers an easy upgrade path for users running legacy VOS applications, support for Visual Studio 2008 and Windows 2008 R2, and updated documentation and sample applications.

CT ADE is a rapid application development (RAD) toolkit that provides a set of program building blocks that are easier to use and quicker to learn than traditional APIs. The company claimed that this solution is the widely deployed IVR development tools in the world and can accelerate the development of voice and video communication solutions. Now, with CT ADE 11, customers who currently have legacy VOS applications deployed can upgrade to the latest version of CT ADE and continue to run their VOS applications.

Officials with the company claimed that they listened to the CT ADE community and have provided customers and channel partners with the ability to upgrade to CT ADE 11 with minimal or no changes to their applications. With the added support for Visual Studio 2008 and Windows Server 2008, customers can continue to leverage the platform investment they made in CT ADE while incorporating newer technologies such as IP, HMP or video.

CT ADE is stated to be a general-purpose tool that is not restricted to any particular application types and is designed to work in tandem with the latest automated speech recognition (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) engines from Nuance Communications, a provider of speech solutions. It is also compatible with virtually the entire Dialogic family of telephony products, including software based solutions and both PCI (News - Alert) and compact PCI form factors.

Mike Hanegan, vice president of technical services at Selectron Technologies acknowledged that CT ADE is a critical part of the solutions they deliver to customers, so they were excited to participate in the beta testing. In their sector, price-performance and time-to-market are critical to success and with Syntellect’s (News - Alert) CT ADE platform they can easily and cost-effectively provide the telephony functionality they need.

Syntellect CT ADE 11 is packed with new features such as re-enabled the VOS legacy mode; more build support for Visual Studio 2008; additional support for Windows 2008 R2 wit Dialogic (News - Alert) boards; updated documentation and sample applications; and more.

In related news, TMC announced that the CTI community, sponsored by Syntellect has been launched as the newest addition to the TMCnet community program. The CTI (News - Alert) community promotes an array of solutions available from Syntellect. In addition, visitors can find valuable resources such as product guides, testimonials, feature articles and industry news.
