AgitarOne Delivers Unprecedented Coverage of Java Applications

Enabling enterprise to release Java applications faster, Agitar Technologies has unveiled their leading JUnit generation and software ‘agitation’ solution called AgitarOne. This solution allows easy adaptability to Android (News - Alert) Framework with support for JUnit test generation.

Using the AgitarOne-generated JUnit tests, the unit-level functionality of user classes can be exercised comprehensively while a high coverage of user code that can be achieved from the range of values, generated by the unique solution. With AgitarOne, a minimum of 80% code coverage levels can be achieved. Due to constant changes in technology as well as extension of applications to additional environments, Android projects are subject to frequent modifications. However, AgitarOne can quickly adapt to these changes in an Android framework while producing high coverage levels. By detecting unintended consequences of code modifications, AgitarOne generates a set of JUnit tests to provide a safety net for changing Android Projects.

In a release, Dale Brenneman, VP of Technology at Agitar Technologies, said, “When we began investigating the possibility of Android support, we were pleased with how easily AgitarOne was able to adapt to the Android framework and produce such a high level of coverage. Our Resellers, particularly in the Pacific Rim, assisted us greatly as it was their customers who had the initial requirement for JUnit test generation for Android projects. We know all other Android projects will benefit as well.

With support from the Eclipse client plug-in, AgitarOne release 5.2 supports these Android-related capabilities. In addition to the generation of JUnit tests for an Android project, user can also choose to select and execute those tests. The software also provides command line and continuous integration capabilities. By leveraging Agitar Technologies’ unprecedented JUnit Generation and software Agitation technique, Enterprise can release Java applications faster, reduce the cost of bugs, and more easily change both new and legacy applications to meet changing business needs. Using “AgitarOne” product family, software teams can easily create, use, and manage the extensive set of unit tests to develop agile applications. Using the software, legacy maintenance efforts has been reduced by 50 percent, new applications has been released 30 percent faster with fewer bugs, while the cost of finding and fixing post-release bugs has been reduced by 90 percent.
