Train Signal Releases Citrix XenDesktop 4 Training Course

As a provider of professional computer training, Train Signal has launched its new Citrix XenDesktop 4 Training course that allows creation of virtual desktops with the required software, services and functionality to process specific user tasks. Users can leverage XenDesktop to create millions of virtual desktops, thus eliminating the need to deploy a desktop for every possible use across every possible location.

Every major desktop virtualization technology is supported by XenDesktop’s new FlexCast delivery technology within a single solution. Citrix XenApp comes integrated with XenDesktop 4, ensuring delivery of on-demand user applications such as individual apps or complete Windows desktop environments. By leveraging Citrix’s award-winning HDX technology, users without high-speed network connectivity can still undergo high-level of experience.

In a release, Gary Eimerman, director of Product Development at Train Signal, said, “Although this course provides an excellent introduction to desktop virtualization, the main goal of someone watching this training will be using XenDesktop to virtualize their own desktop environment. The training is very hands-on and focuses as much as possible on doing.”

The training course covers a wide range of topics including desktop virtualization, deploying, configuring, and managing XenDesktop, utilizing Profile Manager and more. Laying emphasis on the importance of provisioning, Train Signal’s XenDesktop 4 Training also includes a complete coverage for Exam 1y0-a17. Users receive the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) award after successful completion of the training course towards Citrix XenDesktop 4 certification. Furthermore, the certification can also be applied as one of the testing requirement for the completion of Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE) for Virtualization certification. In addition to troubleshooting and best practices, Key knowledge areas covered within the course includes provisioning servers, managing resources, deployment planning, XenDesktop 4 management, as well as working with both Citrix Receiver and Profile Manager.

On enrollment, students receive two DVDs with 10 hours of Citrix XenDesktop 4 training videos having support for multiple file formats such as WMV, AVI, MP3, and iPod Video. Both experienced professionals as well as students with basic understanding of networking concepts and virtualization can sign up for XenDesktop 4 training. The $397 training is led by certified instructor, Elias Khnaser, who is the practice manager for Virtualization and Cloud Computing at Artemis Technology.
