Security First and IBM to Design Cryptographic Security Solution

Security First announced it has signed a joint development agreement with IBM (News - Alert) to collaborate on cryptographic security solutions that will enable new levels of highly-available, secured data for cloud computing clients. Security First is a data high availability and security company whose software technology is revolutionizing information handling today.

In a press release, Mark O'Hare, CEO of Security First, said, "By teaming with a market leader like IBM, our SecureParser technology can help resolve the most perplexing obstacles of secure and highly available Cloud computing. Under the agreement, Security First and IBM will develop a Virtual Machine cryptographic security capability containing Security First’s SecureParser Cryptographic Splitting technology for use in IBM's Linux-based public cloud computing offering.

The SecureParser Cryptographic Splitting technology is a new paradigm for securing and making data highly available across networks and distributed storage solutions including public, community, hybrid and private clouds. The SecureParser software with its many Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS 140-2) certifications has been designed to address key data assurance needs voiced by both governmental and commercial IT leaders. Such reliable data assurance will unleash the full potential of virtualization and the cloud.
