UK-Based Nymgo Signs Investment Agreement with Intel Capital

U.K.’s leading provider of the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, Nymgo recently forged alliance with Intel Capital, the global investment branch of Intel Corporation. Nymgo (News - Alert), a division of Splendor Telecom, announced this investment agreement with Intel Capital during the World Economic Forum in Marrakech, Morocco.

With this agreement with Intel (News - Alert), Nymgo’s founder, Omar Onsi, becomes one of the top entrepreneurs in the growing VoIP field. According to Nymgo officials, this investment will go a long way to help Nymgo build out its sales and marketing efforts. The fund will also be utilized for new products development.

Since 2009, Nymgo, has been helping people across the world to make cost effective and high quality international calls. According to the company, in less than two years, its VoIP software has been downloaded over 2 million times and has hosted over 300 million minutes of calls, many of which, maintained the company, cost fractions of a penny.

This investment agreement with Intel Capital (News - Alert) opens up Nymgo’s access to the vast repository of Intel's expertise. According to the company officials, Nymgo plans to leverage this expertise to grow and become a major player in the international VOIP business.

“Intel Capital's deal with Nymgo is aligned with Intel's dedication to supporting businesses that provide people with life enhancing technologies -from the simple to the complex. This deal illustrates Intel's belief that technology should be used to help people connect with their friends and family across the world. At Nymgo, we make the world a little smaller by bringing people together with affordable calling options,” Onsi said in a statement.

A few months back, Nymgo signed another important collaboration agreement with GlobalCollect (News - Alert), a leading payment service provider of local e-payments. Nymgo entered into this service agreement in order to be able to process online credit and debit card payments.

“We looked at several payment service providers to ensure that our customers have a secure online payment experience, and found GlobalCollect to be an outstanding partner. We based our selection on GlobalCollect's ability to assist our customers across the globe. GlobalCollect is a partner who not only provides a global service but also instills client trust, while offering the convenience of a wide selection of payment options from one source,” commented Onsi, in another statement relating to the collaboration with GlobalCollect.
