Apple's Core Opens to Outside Development Tools

Apple (News - Alert) has obviously changed its mind about the use of outside development tools for creating iOS apps, for AppTech corp reported that Apple has announced a policy loosening restrictions on the use of such tools.

Of course, this came with a rider. The outside development tools should substantially assist AppTech in the execution of its plan to translate and port over iPhone apps to other operating systems, such as Google's (News - Alert) Android.

The loosening of restrictions overrides Apple's initial concerns of letting third party software come between the platform and the developer as it would hinder the enhancement of the platform.

Eric Ottens, CEO of AppTech Corp. said that Apple's move to loosen restrictions would provide app developers the chance to use third party tools, and this was a forward move that would help speed up the availability of apps to market on other Operating systems.

Ottens acknowledged that in spite of being a dominant player in the app market, the restrictions that Apple had previously imposed had hindered the progress of AppTech, especially in the emerging markets of Brazil and Latin America, where Android and Symbian (News - Alert) were fast gaining in popularity.

Commenting on Apple's decision to allow app developers to utilize third party tools, Ottens said that it was a strong and positive step that would facilitate the opening of new markets for AppTech, and with the help of its technical partners, there was no reason why the implementation of AppTech's international marketing plans could not be expedited.

If this happens, then it would create an entry point for some developers who have long been waiting to port their apps over to the iPhone (News - Alert).

AppTech Corp. is translating apps and developing mobile application market places serving emerging countries throughout the world, including Latin America, Brazil, China, India, Japan and the USA. It is focused on multi-platform mobile apps designed to run on device operating systems such as Apple iPhone, Google Android Nexus One, Research In Motion, Microsoft Mobile, Palm, Verizon (News - Alert) Droid, the O-Phone in China, and others.
