Envista Packs New Features into Latest Version of Smarter Street Solutions Suite

Massachusetts’ Envista Corporation, which is committed to create smarter and safer streets with its suite of map-based coordination solutions, enhanced its innovative Smarter Streets solution suite with a recent update---Envista R2 2010.

In a press release, the company claimed that in its new version, the product is designed to help all organizations with interest in the public right-of-way to communicate and coordinate more efficiently and effectively. Envista's Smarter Streets line of SaaS (News - Alert) based solutions enable proactive management of utility projects, public works, permitting, incidents, traffic, and events to optimize street performance, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact. According to Envista, the R2 2010 further extends and enhances the solution’s functionalities.

In its latest version, Smarter Streets solution incorporates three new products, as well as five new primary features that enhance the functionality of all solutions in the Envista portfolio. New products include: Workflow Management, Attachment Management, Public View.

The new features include: Import Manager, Export Manager, Advanced Search, Intermediate Route Point and Custom Attributes.

In the release, the company explained that these new products and features have been added in response to customer input.

“This new software release is a great example of how the team at Envista listens to its customers and responds with the functionality they need to save time and money. Municipalities, utilities, universities and other entities that manage activities in the right-of-way have found that the value of Envista Smarter Streets increases as additional types of activities and more detailed information are incorporated into our map-based environment. In many cases, our customers will identify a need and work with us to make it part of the Envista solution suite. We are very pleased to showcase the results of this collaborative process in Release R2 2010,” Senior VP of sales and marketing, Brad Steer, said in a statement.

The company said that any of the new products included in Envista R2 2010 can be added to existing Smarter Streets subscriptions, purchased individually, or bundled to meet the specific needs of a particular entity. The new features included in this release are now part of all Smarter Streets solutions at no additional charge.

Last month, Envista Corporation announced that Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD), a regional wastewater treatment utility in southeast Virginia, selected Envista Smarter Streets to enhance communication with local jurisdictions and save money by proactively identifying and avoiding costly project conflicts.
