Adobe Unveils Technical Communication Suite 3

Helping the users to create and publish rich, standards-compliant technical information and training material, Adobe announced the availability of Technical Communication Suite 3.

Apart from gaining analytical insights into content usage for effective optimization, the users can now automatically schedule and publish content to multiple channels and screens.

The new versions of the suite’s core components introduced by Adobe include Adobe FrameMaker 10, Adobe RoboHelp 9, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Captivate 5 and Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Users can now import FrameMaker content into RoboHelp with support for FrameMaker books and create standards-compliant XML and DITA (1.2) content and output to multiple formats, the company has announced.

“Today’s technical communication end user – from an average consumer to a design engineer – expects content experiences that are clear, concise and more engaging,” said Naresh Gupta, senior vice president of the Print and Publishing Business Unit for Adobe, in a press release. “Technical Communication Suite 3 customers can meet this demand by creating documentation that is increasingly interactive, rich and socially enabled – all with one set of tools, within one user interface.”

With the help of FrameMaker 10, users can take advantage of significantly enhanced XML/DITA authoring capabilities. They can also work more efficiently with standards-compliant, prebuilt tools and templates designed for easier authoring. Robohelp 9 allows them to filter help systems based on their role, department, geography, products, operating system, or any other parameter, ensuring the most relevant information is instantly available. Complementing these launches are the Adobe FrameMaker Server 10 and Adobe RoboHelp Server 9, the server versions of the client solutions.

Recently, it was announced that the support for Adobe AIR 2.5 for TV will be integrated into Samsung’s Smart TV platform, allowing developers to easily build, distribute and monetize standalone applications through Samsung’s (News - Alert) Smart TV applications store, Samsung Apps. New opportunities for Adobe Flash Platform developers will be created with this integration. Adobe Creative Suite 5 can be used by developers to author content for AIR for TV.
