IdentityForge Releases Linux RedHat Advanced Adapter

Linux RedHat OS will now be supported by standard access integration company IdentityForge as part of its latest venture into server based OS adapters. The company will be soon releasing Linux RedHat Advanced Adapter.

Access integration into many different systems like ERP, OS, Mainframe, and application security managers is provided by IdentityForge.

Functioning as a trusted virtual administrator for Linux RedHat, the IdentityForge Advanced Adapter allows the manager to perform various tasks. These include creating IDs, adding authorized groups to IDs and changing passwords. The administrator can also determine whether the Linux RedHat OS is used either as a managed resource or as an authorized source of user information for the application or Identity Infrastructure with the Advanced Adapter.

An important factor in the IdentityForge Advanced Adapter Series and the IdentityForge LDAPv3 Gateway (News - Alert) Server is the Linux Pioneer provisioning agent. A rich feature set for supporting provisioning and reconciliation can be therefore provided by the Advanced Adapter with this agent.

In a release, Chad Cromwell, CTO of IdentityForge said, “Providing standard integration into RedHat allows companies to remove another manual task and provides ease of integration into their current IDM processes.”

Ease of deployment, standard LDAPv3 integration interface and vendor agnostic are some of the key features IdentityForge Advanced Adapter for RedHat. Deep integration will be provided by the software. Functionality like Authentication, Group Membership Assignments and User Password Resets will also be provided by the software.

Certified out-of-the-box vendor product editions have also been included with this release of the IdentityForge RedHat Advanced Adapter for ease of integration. These include certification from Microsoft’s FIM 2010 IdF RedHat MA, Oracle (News - Alert) or OIM RedHat Adapter, TheDotNetFactory EmpowerID, and Tivoli or iTIM RedHat Adapter.

Identity & access management solutions for mainframe, midrange and legacy systems are provided by IdentityForge. Secure real-time bi-directional support solutions are provided by the company. Key functions like access management, authorization, user management, password management, provisioning, role management or governance along with compliance reporting are offered by these solutions.
