TAAP, a provider of mobile software solutions, has announced its new data capture software designed for the Apple (News - Alert) iPad and iPhone.

TAAP Data Capture is a software solution for mobile devices that enables accurate and rapid collection of leads at events, exhibitions or during face-to-face fundraising activities or any out-of-the-office situation.

As with all TAAP’s mobile software systems, the iPad iPhone (News - Alert) data capture product can be customized according to a client’s requirements to capture a variety of information, from contact details to more complex market research or survey data.

“There has been huge interest from the business community about how to use the iPad in commercial situations, so TAAP is delighted to be developing applications which make use of the latest innovations in mobile technology,” Gordon Smillie, managing director at TAAP, said.

Also, as the data capture applications can be configured to send automatic emails or text messages to recipients once their contact details have been collected, TAAP believes that brands can have a greater opportunity to engage with their potential customers as they can personalize the messages using the information collected on the iPad device.

Moreover, the newly released iPad is said to be ideal for using features such as embedded video and product brochure display which TAAP’s data capture applications contain.

Earlier in the month of February 2010, Triumph, the British automotive manufacturer, producing around 50,000 motorcycles a year is said to have used TAAP’s Data Capture mobile software on a rental basis, to collect leads.
