SANS Announces the Keynote Speaker for Nashville Cyber Security Training EventBETHESDA, Md., Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced the keynote speaker for SANS Nashville 2018 taking place December 3-8 in Tennessee. Robert M. Lee (@RobertMLee), CEO of Dragos and a SANS Instructor and course author, will deliver the keynote address entitled Tracking and Communicating About Threats: Intelligence for All. According to Lee, "Cyber threat intelligence impacts every security team. When used incorrectly as unending threat data feeds of indicators and marketing pitches it can cost the team valuable resources. When used correctly on communicating knowledge about the threats against internal requirements it can drive organizational change and propel security forward. My presentation will highlight some of the most interesting threats out there today and how to track them, communicate about them, and drive value from knowledge about them to the organization." In addition to his address, Lee will also teach his ICS515: ICS Active Defense and Incident Response course. This course teaches security professionals how to deconstruct ICS cyber attacks and to leverage an active deense to identify and counter threats in ICS. Students will also learn how to use incident response procedures to maintain the safety and reliability of operations. All courses at SANS Nashville 2018 are associated with GIAC certifications. Courses are available for security professionals at every level and cover a variety of topics including cyber defense, ethical hacking, penetration testing, digital forensics, security management, and ICS security.
