Sterlite Tech Appoints Kumud Srinivasan to its Board of Directors

Sterlite Tech (BSE: 532374) (NSE: STRTECH), an end-to-end global technology leader in smarter digital networks, today announced the appointment of Kumud Srinivasan from Intel Corporation to its Board of Directors with effect from May 22, 2018.

Kumud is Vice President and Director of Non-Volatile Memory Fab Manufacturing and Automation Systems at Intel Corporation. She has spent 30 years at Intel in U.S., leading multiple global functions, prominent ones being R&D for technology manufacturing, industrial automation and Internet of Things for manufacturing facilities. From 2012 to 2016, she served as President for Intel India.

As a Non-Executive and Independent Director, Kumud will be on Sterlite Tech's Board for a term of five years, from the date of appointment.

Presently based in Portland, USA, Kumud graduated in Economics from Calcutta University. She followed this up with an MLS, School of Information Studies, Syracuse University before pursuing a doctoral programme at the School of Information Studies in University of California, Berkeley.

The Sterlite Tech Board also noted and accepted the resignation of Avaantika Kakkar, Non-Executive and Independent Director. The Board thanks Avaantika for her immense contribution to the company during the period she served on the Board from December 2014 till May 2018.
