eMoney Advisor Partners with Rhode Island State Council on the Arts to Highlight Work of Local Artists

eMoney Advisor, a leading provider of scalable wealth management solutions, today announced a partnership with the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) that highlights the work of local artists in eMoney's Providence office. In late 2017, eMoney employees reviewed the work of several artists who were selected as fellows in RISCA's annual grant program and cast votes for their favorite pieces. The winning pieces were recently put on display in eMoney's office, which opened in July 2017 at 100 Westminster Street.

"Since eMoney is fairly new to Providence, it's been really important for us to connect with the community," said Tessa Raum, Head of People Experience, at eMoney. "Most of our office is comprised of talented Rhode Islanders who are proud to live, work and give back to their communities. Displaying the incredible work of local artists in our office was an easy way fo us to further integrate Providence's culture within the eMoney environment."

The art currently on display in the eMoney office includes a number of works by Jodie Goodnough, Johnny Adimando, Kathy Hodge, three artists who have very different styles and mediums. Click here to view the artwork.

Goodnough has transformed a hallway with her large photographs; Adimando's small three-dimensional pieces jump off the walls in odd corners; and Hodge's large paintings, inspired by her many residencies in national parks, give the office a serene and bright feel.

"We are really excited to connect local artists with the business community to develop a new group of art lovers and enrich the cultural lives of those who live and work in Rhode Island," said Mollie Flanagan, RISCA's individual artist program director. "It's been a great partnership with eMoney, and we are looking forward to continuing to work with their team to create an artful work environment as they grow."

In the future, RISCA plans to hold lunch-and-learn sessions with the artists at eMoney's office to give employees the opportunity to learn more about the artists, their creative processes and the meaning behind their art.

"It was great to be included in the process of choosing the art and then see it hung in our office," said Gary Jutras, a senior software engineer at eMoney. "We all have our favorites, and the variety makes the office really feel like our own space."

As previously announced by Rhode Island Governor Gina M. Raimondo and the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation in March 2017, eMoney committed to bringing 100 full-time jobs to the state by 2020. Currently, more than 50 employees have already been hired in eMoney's Providence office. They work mainly in software development, user interface and experience design, software testing and quality engineering, and product management.
