TDK brings medical, industrial and programmable power supply innovation to APEC 2018

TDK Corporation will present several of its latest power solutions in booth 901 at APEC 2018, March 4-8, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The new products are ideal for engineers designing across industrial, medical, test and measurement, broadcast, communication and renewable energy applications.

TDK-Lambda's AC-DC power supply, modular power supply and programmable power supply product highlights at the show include:

CUS150M series: These medical and ITE-certified 2" x 4" power supplies provide optimum performance in ambient temperatures up to 85°C and have operating efficiencies up to 91%. The series is certified for Class I and II (no earth ground connection) operation and meets both curve B radiated and conducted emissions. The CUS150M is suitable for B and BF rated equipment and its target applications include medical, home healthcare, dental, test and measurement, broadcast and industrial equipment.

CUS30M and CUS60M series: This series is rated at 30W and 60W output power. Certified to medical and ITE standards for Class I and II operation, the products meet both curve B radiated and conducted emissions without the need for additional filtering or shielding. The highly efficient series is suitable for B and BF rated equipment and has an industry standard 2" x 3" footprint. The CUS30M and 60M target applications include medical, home healthcare, test and measurement, broadcast, industrial controls and household appliances.

XMS500 series: Designed as a configurable medical power supply product, this series is rated at 500W output power, with a Class I and Class II construction. It requires low airflow (just 1 m/s) reducing audible noie and conforms to curve B conducted and radiated emissions. Applications include home healthcare, hospital, imaging and clinical diagnostic systems in addition to industrial, test and measurement and communications equipment.

RWS100B and RWS1500B: The seven-year warranty RWS-B series is ideally suited for medical, cosmetic laser treatment and analysis equipment requiring less than 300µA earth leakage current. The RWS-B 1000 and 1500W ME models are certified to the safety standards of IEC (News - Alert)/ES/CSA/EN 60601-1 and are CE marked according to the low voltage and RoHS2 Directives. The RWS1000B/ME measures 127 x 63 x 198mm and the RWS1500B/ME 127 x 63 x 261mm.

QM5 modular power supplies: These models are rated at 700 to 1200W and have BF ready isolation along with low acoustic noise. With its modular construction, the series can be configured using a simple on-line configurator to provide one to 12 independently regulated outputs and include individual output, good signal and remote on/off functions. With medical and industrial safety certifications, the power supplies are suitable for use in medical, test and measurement, communications and broadcast equipment.

Genesys (News - Alert)TM 1U 5kW DC programmable power supply series: This DC programmable power supply series provides advanced features and functions in high power density (up to 5200W) and light weight (< 16.5lbs) with built-in LAN, USB and RS-232/RS-485 interfaces. Five models are currently available (10V/500A, 20V/250A, 30V/170A, 300V/17A and 600V/8.5A) with conversion efficiencies up to 92%. Advanced features and functions include an Arbitrary Waveform Generator (with Auto-Trigger capability), programmable Slew-Rate control (Vout/Iout), Internal Resistance simulation and Constant-Power Limit programming. All models are well-suited for laboratory/R&D environments and address applications in aerospace/automotive test and measurement, semiconductor fabrication and component testing, medical imaging, industrial and renewable energy. This platform is CE Marked in accordance with the Low Voltage, EMC (News - Alert) and RoHS2 Directives, has worldwide safety agency approvals (EN/UL/cUL 60950-1 listed) and offers a five-year warranty.
