3AM Named To Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies List

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- 3AM, the award-winning entertainment marketing agency founded in 2014 as a joint venture between Ridley Scott's RSA Films and Wild Card, is pleased to announce it has been honored with inclusion in Fast Company's annual list of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Advertising and Marketing. 3AM ranked No. 6 on the Most Innovative in Advertising and Marketing list "for upping the ambition on movie marketing with its Blade Runner 2049 prequel."

Created to meet the marketing needs of filmmakers in a rapidly evolving industry, 3AM is renowned for its ability to generate attention-earning content and strategic alliances between brands and movies, through a unique approach that cultivates story, marketing and distribution from the very beginning of every project. In 2018, the company has continued to evolve its model to partner with television creators, video game creators and entertainment brands.

Among 3AM's most recent work, a holistic prologue narrative that included a series of gripping in-world short films – concepted in partnership with Ridley Scott - for Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros.' critically acclaimed Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to Scott's 1982 neo-noi sci-fi classic Blade Runner. "2036: Nexus Dawn" stars Jared Leto and explains what happened in the world of Blade Runner between the first movie, set in 2019, and the sequel, set in 2049. "2048: Nowhere to Run" features Dave Bautista as an outlaw Replicant in hiding who has to risk everything to save an innocent life in a crime-infested Los Angeles market. Both original shorts were directed by Luke Scott, produced by RSA Films and filmed during Blade Runner 2049's principal photography.

3AM also created "Meet Walter," the award-winning branded entertainment partnership for Twentieth Century Fox's Alien: Covenant and AMD. It stars Covenant's Michael Fassbender as his character Walter, the latest synthetic android from the Alien universe with intelligence powered by AMD, Ryzen and Radeon. And 3AM first had audiences enthralled with Fox's award-winning "The Martian Prologue" campaign.

"We are thrilled to be recognized in Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies issue for 2018," says Alison Temple, Managing Partner of 3AM. "We embrace the opportunities to collaborate with entertainment creators to generate original content for some of today's most highly-anticipated IP. These true partnerships enable us to innovate across the full lifecycle of the entertainment property."

"Most Innovative Companies" is Fast Company's signature franchise and one of its most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year, providing both a snapshot and road map for the future of innovation across the most dynamic sectors of the economy. "This Year's Most Innovative Companies list is an inspiring and insightful window into how many companies have embraced innovation and are working to make meaningful change," says Fast Company deputy editor David Lidsky, who oversaw the issue with senior editor Amy Farley.
