Experts and Successful IoT Products to Highlight Ayla Networks User Conference

Ayla Networks:

WHAT:
Manufacturers with successful Internet of Things (IoT) products and IoT experts will headline Ayla Connect, the inaugural user conference for Ayla Networks, a global leader in IoT platform-as-a-service (PaaS). The overall theme of the Ayla Connect user conference is 'Connect. Learn. Transform.'

"Everyone's trying to unlock the secrets to IoT business transformation-and as the world's premier IoT experts, Ayla Networks is ideally positioned to provide a forum where current and prospective Ayla customers, partners and experts can come together to explore what works," said Mike Merit, vice president of customer success for Ayla Networks. "Think of Ayla Connect as a way to tap into the 'community brain' at the source of IoT innovation and expertise."

WHEN:
Ayla Connect will be held Tuesday, April 10, and Wednesday, April 11, at the Omni Hotel in San Francisco. An evening reception on Monday, April 9, will precede the conference, and a special offsite networking dinner will take place the evening of April 10.

WHO:
Representatives of leading smart-home brands such as Hunter Fan, Culligan and AO Smith will tell how they transformed their products-and their businesses-through IoT technology. A case study of particular note will have Jordan Monroe, co-founder of baby-monitoring company Owlet, describe how, using a "smart sock," his company provides peace of mind to parents.

Executives from some of the world's leading brands will participate in a fireside chat to discuss the 'why' ehind IoT and the role of IoT data in business transformation.

SPEAKERS:

IoT Thought Leaders

IoT-Inc. Publisher Bruce Sinclair (News - Alert) will keynote the first conference day, presenting his outlook on how IoT technology is leading to what he calls the "Outcome Economy." He'll also lead a workshop on how to transform a business through IoT.

On the second day, attendees will find out from keynoter Bill Schmarzo, chief technology officer of EMC (News - Alert) Global Service's big-data practice, how to monetize IoT technology.

A number of Ayla senior executives and technical leads also will be among the conference presenters, to help attendees understand IoT issues such as:

  • Key steps to consider when starting a connected product initiative
  • How strong partner ecosystems can enhance product capabilities
  • Opportunities for venturing into new lines of business and massive revenue re-organization
  • How organizations are developing 5-Star products with IoT

TECHNICAL SESSIONS:

The final hours of the conference will be devoted to "Ayla University," expert-led breakout workshops on how to apply Ayla offerings to the creation, launch and support of successful IoT products, as well as what to expect at each step of the connected product journey.

Hands-on technical training will include sessions on mobile SDKs and the Ayla Agile (News - Alert) Mobile Application Platform (AMAP), embedded development, interoperability and IoT rules engines.
