Teradici Cloud Access Software Launches on AWS Marketplace, Delivering Graphics-Intensive Applications from the Cloud

BURNABY, British Columbia, Feb. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Teradici, the creator of PCoIP® technology, today announced the availability of its Cloud Access Software on AWS Marketplace, to allow enterprise customers to access their graphics-intensive Windows and Linux applications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the same highly responsive user experience of a local workstation.

“We are simplifying how enterprises securely lift and shift their workstations and applications to the cloud and offering Cloud Access Software through AWS Marketplace was the clear next step in broadening the availability of this software to customers,” said Dan Cordingley, CEO of Teradici. “Our unique technology can now be consumed easily by AWS customers. Billing is simplified and bundled with cloud consumption into one payment, streamlining how customers visualize graphics-intensive applications from AWS.”

Built on Teradici’s trusted PCoIP® technology, Cloud Access Software is the leading remoting solution allowing users to deliver graphics-intensive applications from AWS and take advantage of the benefits of the cloud, like computing power and storage flexibility. It delivers a secure and highly responsive user experience for GPU applications in industries such as Media & Entertainment, Design Manufacturing, Architeture, Engineering & Construction, and Oil & Gas. It uses the PCoIP protocol to enable advanced display compression, which transmits content as encrypted pixels from AWS securely and losslessly to any endpoint.

Cloud Access Software supports both Windows and Linux applications hosted on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) G3 instances. Users can access their applications remotely from laptops, tablets, or ultra-secure PCoIP Zero Clients. Software clients are available for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Chrome OS.

Cloud Access Software is available on the AWS Marketplace in all regions with Amazon EC2 G3 instances beginning today, and the cost of Cloud Access Software ($0.50/hour, or $240/year) will be integrated into a customer’s AWS bill, resulting in a single and simple payment. All new Cloud Access Software feature updates will also be available through AWS Marketplace and supported on Windows Server 2016 and CentOS 7 operating systems.
