Lazada Closes Online Revolution with First-Ever Consumer Event at CapitaLand's JCubeSINGAPORE, Dec. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, Southeast Asia's leading e-commerce platform, Lazada, will be holding an offline consumer engagement event. Visitors can take part in activities with more than $15,000 worth of prizes to be won, including the Apple iPhone X. The event that takes place at JCube is the first of its kind since Lazada's partnership with CapitaLand was announced in August, to promote online-to-offline integration. Running from 6 to 10 December, the star of the show will be the "anti-gravity" photo booth where visitors snap and upload pictures on social media with the hashtag #ShopLazada1212. Doing so gives them a chance to 'catch' branded surprise boxes and Lazada vouchers via a UFO catcher machine. Mr. Alexis Lanternier, Chief Executive Officer of Lazada Singapore, said: "We're very excited about our first-ever offline event. Online Revolution is about giving our shoppers the best deals from the brands they love, but also ensuring they have fun while they're at it. Through our partnership with CapitaLand, we have extended the fun and excitement to JCube." "At the event, shoppers can win exciting prizes and vouchers to shop on Lazada this 12.12, where they can enjoy up to 90% off, over 120 flash deals and vouchers worth $120", he added. Lazada currently has five live "click and collect" lounges in CapitaLand malls -- Plaza Singapura, Bugis+, JCube, Westgate, and IMM. Customers can collect parcels and return items while the lounges also serve as collection points for sellers. Lazada aims to roll out a total of 13 lounges across CapitaLand malls by March 2018. Many of the brands present at CapitaLand Malls are now available on Lazada.SG. Currently, the online marketplace hosts more than 300 official stores in total, including labels that recently joined such as The Body Shop, Lego, Shiseido, Origins, MAC, Puma Golf, and New Balance. Even Sony Pictures, which owns TV channel Animax, opened a store on Lazada.SG for its popular merchandise, OO-Kun and Friends. On 12.12, brands will offer shoppers over 50 'surprise boxes'. These boxes, containing $100 worth of items but selling at $29, were so popular on 11 November (11.11) that some of them sold out in 4 seconds. The branded surprise box is an example of the close synergy between Lazada and brand partners to engage shoppers. Since its introduction in March this year at Lazada's Birthday Sale, the number of branded surprise boxes for customers to choose from has grown by more than four times. In addition to the great deals available on 12.12, shoppers on Lazada benefit from customer-friendly policies such as free delivery storewide and 14 days to return their products for free. About Lazada Online Revolution Online Revolution is the biggest shopping event in Southeast Asia. It was started on 12 December 2012 (12.12) to introduce consumers to the convenience and value of shopping online, sparking a 'shopping frenzy' that has grown it into a highly-anticipated annual event. Every year, more and more consumers from capital cities to remote villages shop from a wide range of deals from international and local brands previously not available to them. Last year, shoppers ordered two million items in just the first day of the event. This year, the highlights of Online Revolution will be on 11.11 (11 November) and 12.12 (12 December). Themed 'Shop the Universe', shoppers in six countries can look forward to millions of products from around the world -- from branded cosmetics, apparel and fashion accessories, to TVs and other nifty electronics, household essentials and even pet food -- at 'out-of-this-world' prices.
