Vincari Releases iOS and Android Apps Allowing Physicians to Create, eSign and Deliver Patient Encounter Documentation Directly from Their Personal Device, Anywhere

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today,Vincari announces the release of Physician On the Go for both iOS and Android devices, which have been designed to revolutionize the way physicians document patient encounters, especially the surgical event.  Over the past decade, Vincari and its team of physician advisors have continued to think outside the box to develop applications designed for physicians to solve issues resulting from antiquated workflow.

Vincari's Lightspeed Valet is the only ICD-10 virtual assistant designed by surgeons for surgeons to complete operative reports with 100% Joint Commission compliance and ICD-10 specific language. (PRNewsFoto/Vincari)

This latest release of Vincari On the Go gives physicians the ability to view their daily schedule, create, eSign, and deliver their documentation from their smartphone or tablet.  No longer do physicians have to make a stop by the dictation room or desktop workstation to complete their post-encounter documentation.  Physicians also have the ability to securely capture images via their mobile devices during a patient encounter which could then be attached to their documentation.

"Vincari On the Go enables me to complete all of my post-operative documentation on the way down the hall before speaking with the family.  The old process forced me to take a detou to the dictation station to access Vincari from the desktop.  The ability to quickly complete and sign my reports from my phone is a game changer in regards to my post-operative workflows."  Dr. Drexel Dobson, General Surgeon, Florida.

Security Features
Vincari On the Go is developed with HIPAA security in mind to provide the same great functionality that our users expect in our web app now on their mobile devices.

  • Backend servers are hosted in HIPAA Compliant Amazon Web Services(AWS).
  • No PHI is stored on the device itself. Once a user logs out of the device, all the data is cleared from the device. Any PHI held in memory is cleared as soon as it is posted to the backend servers.
  • All data in transit and at rest is encrypted at all times.
  • Once the pictures are taken by the mobile device camera in the app, they are immediately sent over an encrypted channel to our backend servers. These pictures are not available in the photo apps of the native device.
  • Access to the app is protected by the same strong credentials used to log into our web app.
  • Credentials to access the app are managed on our AWS cloud infrastructure and meet the NIST standards for password at the same time flexible to accommodate site specific requirements for password management.
  • After the first time authentication using strong credentials, users can enable modern biometrics (fingerprint and facial recognition), where available, within the app. Once enabled, users can unlock the app using biometrics.
  • All iOS and Android best practices for security and privacy are implemented in our app.
