Edmentum™ Introduces New Summer Enhancements to Study Island, Courseware, and Exact Path

Edmentum, a leading provider of web-based learning solutions, is rolling out a series of powerful enhancements to its Study Island, Courseware, and Exact Path products. Each enhancement is based entirely on educator feedback and designed to save teachers time and increase student engagement. Improvements are being made in both educator and student features, creating an even more streamlined education experience that seamlessly connects teachers, students, and administrators.

Study Island

Study Island is Edmentum's customizable K-12 practice and classroom assessment solution. This summer, enhancements will include an improved educator experience that elevates standards alignment and prompts simpler assignment creation. Students will also soon experience a refreshed interface that makes it easier for them to take ownership over their learning. The redesigned dashboard will include active assignments, in-progress topics, suggested topics based on prior performance, and Blue Ribbons earned. These improvements and more will simplify the scoring structure, increase student engagement, and improve workflows.

Edmentum Courseware

Courseware offers over 400 full-semester courses that are aligned to state and national standards. The new enhancements will increase educators' ability to monitor student performance toward course completion through intuitive data views of course pacing, progress, and grades, giving teachers even more insight into students' academic growth. Flexible reporting will include a new Gradebook feature that makes daily management of online learning easier, providing educators with automatic recordkeeping of individual student performance in each course. Additionally, teachers will be able to easily change grading weights to meet district or school guidelines. These updates will help streamline daily program management of our rigorous, standards aligned courses; increase efficiencies; save teachers time; and motivate students to meet their academic goals.

Exact Path

Exact Path, Edmentum's individualized learning program, provides adaptive, research-based assessments; quality content; and progress-monitoring tools to target individual instruction. Updates will introduce demographic-based reporting, allowing educators to sort data by specific demographic categories. The enhancements will present norm-referenced data that allows teachers to compare student performance to national norms to track progress and growth trends. Exact Path will also expand to grades 6-8, with content through high school to support advanced learners. Additionally, all lessons and activities in a student's learning path are now 100% Flash-free content, accessible on all devices, including Chromebook notebooks and iPad tablets. With these and other improvements, Exact Path will elevate intervention and instructional needs, differentiate learning will skills-aligned teacher resources, and engage students with bite-sized instructional modules.

Study Island, Edmentum Courseware, and Exact Path have all been recognized as 2017 SIIA CODiE Award finalists. Enhancements to all three programs will be available to districts and schools in time for the new school year. Edmentum will debut the new enhancements, along with the company's entire suite of solutions, at the upcoming ISTE Conference & Expo in San Antonio, Texas, on June 25-28.
