Jenkins World 2017: the Global Event for Everything Jenkins & DevOps

The Jenkins community, the community of practitioners using open source Jenkins, and lead organizing sponsor CloudBees, Inc., the hub of enterprise Jenkins and DevOps, today announced the agenda for the 2017 Jenkins World conference. Jenkins World will be held at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, August 28-31. Training and workshops will be held on August 28-29 and the conference sessions take place on August 30-31.

Jenkins World is the largest gathering of Jenkins users in the world and includes Jenkins experts, continuous delivery thought leaders and companies offering complementary technologies for Jenkins. The event provides many opportunities for attendees to learn, network and explore, as well as to help shape the future of Jenkins.

This year's conference includes six tracks and more than 60 sessions covering diverse Jenkins and DevOps topics. Sessions will be conducted by practitioners from organizations such as: Accenture, Cambia Health, American Express, Rosetta Stone, PayPal, Microsoft (News - Alert) and CloudBees. Sessions cover topics ranging from security to pipeline automation, containers, DevOps adoption and continuous delivery best practices.

Inaugural Jenkins World Awards
The first annual Jenkins World Award Program is now open for nominations. There are two award tracks - Jenkins Community Awards and CloudBees Innovation Awards - and winners in each track will be featured at Jenkins World. Nominations will be accepted for both tracks until June 16, 2017 at 11:59PM EDT. Learn more about the Jenkins World Awards Program.

Jenkins Community Awards Categories:

  • Most Valuable Contributor �- Presented to the Jenkins contributor who has moved the Jenkins project forward through feature contributions, bug fixes or plugin development.
  • Jenkins Security MVP - Presented to the individual most consistently providing excellent security reports or fixing security issues.
  • Most Valuable Advocate - Presented to an individual who has helped advocate for Jenkins through organizing and leading a local Jenkins Area Meet-up.
  • CloudBees Innovation Award Categories:

    • DevOps Automation Excellence Award - Presented to the team or organization with the most outstanding automated DevOps process as measured by quantifiable business value returned to the organization.
    • DevOps Scalability Achievement Award - Presented to the team or organization with the most significant implementation of continuous delivery and DevOps at scale, as measured by the scope of the implementation and quantifiable business value returned to the organization.
