In the report, Forrester gives insight into the ePurchasing vendor landscape and "is focused on helping CIOs understand the value of standalone solutions." According to the report, "innovations in usability are causing eSourcing growth to pick up."

According to Forrester's report, "Success in the age of the customer requires a focus on the technologies, systems and processes for winning, serving and retaining customers. Supporting this approach are critical back-office processes for acquiring the goods and services necessary to support the customer value proposition." Later in the report, Forrester goes on to say, "New eSourcing products like Scout RFP and updated SaaS (News - Alert) products with improved usability for business users may well be better candidates than the old-line eSourcing tools in use today."

Scout helps enterprises serve customers through a strategic sourcing solution that allows for streamlined supplier selection, centralized data, and more informed purchasng decisions, faster.

Forrester noted, "Scout RFP is starting to change the dynamics in eSourcing, with its differentiation on usability, which has helped it acquire over 90 customers in less than two years, especially in high-tech (e.g., Adobe and Cerner (News - Alert)) and professional services (e.g., KPMG and McKinsey). Scout RFP's success is forcing other eSourcing vendors to rethink their usability."

"Procurement has previously been looked at as a purely operational function, but businesses are now starting to realize its importance in customer servicing and retention," said Scout CEO Alex Yakubovich. "Scout RFP is excited to be included in Forrester's eProcurement, eSourcing vendor landscape, as choosing the right technology to support your enterprise in the procurement process is critical to success.
