PokitDok Launches on AWS Marketplace, Becomes APN Advanced Technology Partner

In its mission to power the business of healthcare, today at HIMSS 2017, the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference, PokitDok announced it has made its solution available on AWS Marketplace. As an AWS Partner Network (APN) Advanced Technology Partner, PokitDok is available immediately on AWS Marketplace in the recently launched Healthcare & Life Sciences category. Customers using AWS as their secure cloud for compute power now have access to a toolset for developing digital health applications.

"As the only industry that skipped the Internet, healthcare is now 20 years behind as it rushes to respond to cost pressures, an uncertain regulatory environment and growing security concerns," said Lisa Maki, co-founder and CEO, PokitDok. "Centralized, on-premise systems can be vulnerable. Shifting to AWS allows the industry to both satisfy compliance requirements and leapfrog to the future. Launching in the AWS Marketplace with the first ever 'one click' healthcare clearinghouse is a historic step forward in health IT. This is a key part of our partner distribution strategy to broaden access to our API solutions and drive innovation in healthcare."

The combination of AWS and PokitDok helps customers tackle interoperability and build applications for better care delivery, coordination, and patient engagement. AWS Marketplace helps healthcare customers discover, test, procure, and deploy software that can run on AWS. It brings together certified software tools, such as PokitDok, that were built from the ground up to serve the unique needs of the healthcare industry. PokitDok was awarded a Phase III CAQH® Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE®) Certification Seal and is accredited by the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).

"PokitDok is a leading offering which healthcare organizations depend on to build applications that securely store, process, and transmit personal health information," said Barry Russell, General Manager, Global Business Development, AWS Marketplace and Catalog Services. "Customers from industry vertical markets, such as Healthcare, want access to software like PokitDok that is available for immediate purchase and deployment from AWS Marketplace. The availability of innovative solutions like PokitDok demonstrates our focus on delivering the tools healthcare organizations need to transform their business on AWS."

As part of its availability on AWS Marketplace, PokitDok will make bundled plans available that simplify patient check in, handle health insurance administration, calculate out of pocket estimates, and that grant access to treatment pricing, provider, and other data. PokitDok connects with more than 500 health insurers and payers to enable seamless data exchange for insurance enrollment, eligibility checks, claims processing, authorizations, and medical referrals. These and other critical business functions can be integrated into a variety of care models that span telehealth, medical house calls and precision medicine.

Developers can sign up or log on to AWS and select PokitDok, in the Healthcare & Life Sciences category, for application details, documentation, automatic registration, and to get started with an API key. Technical support is available separately, at a variety of tier levels.
