Belden to Showcase Digital Building Solutions at the 2017 BICSI Winter Conference

To give information & communication technology professionals a better understanding of how connectivity can be applied throughout an organization, the Belden booth (#913) will feature two different areas that showcase enterprise solutions.

The digital building area gives booth visitors a close-up look at:

  • An open 2-post rack utilizing the FiberExpress Enterprise Closet X patch panel solution, HD WiFi (News - Alert) patching, passive optical LAN setup and an HDBaseT cable solution
  • Field-termination demonstrations of REVConnect (a new connectivity system used for all Category 5e, 6 and 6A UTP and STP cables) and FiberExpress Fusion Connectors (which combine the benefits of fusion splicing with the simplicity of field-installable connectors)
  • A mock drop-down ceiling with a ceiling zone box and wireless access point for the emerging digital ceiling

There will also be a data center area to give booth visitors a close-up look at:

  • Three cabinets representing the XHM and XHS Series
  • A core router cabinet, server cabinet and Open Bridge Rack
  • A wall-mount box and in-wall box for multi-dwelling-unit (MD) applications

Belden will also host several complimentary events at the 2017 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition:

  • Regional Breakfast: AVB - Don't Panic!, led by AVI-SPL's (News - Alert) Don Parish, CTS-D, DMC-E. Attendees learn how audio video bridging (AVB) compares to HDBaseT, streaming and other options, as well as how AVB can be successfully integrated into networks.
  • Closing Session: 4K Cabling Truths and Misconceptions for HDBaseT, led by Belden Regional Sales Engineer, Broadcast & AV, Bob Ferguson, RCDD, CTS (News - Alert). Using recent testing data, attendees learn the most important characteristics in 4-pair cable used to support 4K HDBaseT.
