Dan Warmenhoven Joins Board of Software-Defined Application Services Leader Avi Networks


Avi Networks, the leader in next-generation application delivery and services, today announced that Dan Warmenhoven, former chairman and CEO of NetApp, has joined the company's board of directors. Dan's experience and expertise working with IT leaders will be important in guiding Avi Networks' global expansion and continued innovation in delivering load balancing and applications services that support modern application architectures across data centers and private or hybrid cloud environments.

Warmenhoven led NetApp as chief executive officer from 1994 to 2009 and executive chairman from 2009 to 2014, steering the company through its first rounds of venture capital funding and a public offering in 1995, as the company quickly grew to more than $1 billion in annual revenue. He has served on the board of directors of Aruba, a mobile network access solution provider that was acquired by HP, and currently serves on the boards of cybersecurity company Palo Alto (News - Alert) Networks and Bechtel, a leader in global engineering, construction and project management.
